After years of crafting visuals by hand and instinct, stepping into AI felt like creative betrayal. But instead of resisting, I chose to lean in, curious, cautious, but open. I’d dabbled before, but this time was different. This time, I committed to learning the tool, questioning it, and bending it toward my process. Not to replace the craft, but to stretch it. Break it open. Rewire how I see, build, and experiment.
AI is not going to replace us. The future is mixed media. And technology will only enhance what makes us human, our mistakes, our chaos, our Trashyperocool.
This piece isn’t a final product. It’s a graphic experiment, an evolving test bed of textures, tools, and future workflows. A visual manifesto in progress.
The Eye Is Still Everything
I learned quickly that it’s not about writing a “good prompt.” That’s just the surface. To make anything worthwhile, you still need a sharp eye, solid references, and a deep understanding of how an image works, from texture and lighting to lens choice, camera angle, and intention. It felt like an acid trip at first, wild, unpredictable, and overwhelming.

AI doesn’t replace the eye, it tests it.
A good prompt is nothing without taste.
The future isn’t hands vs. code, it’s the tension between both.
What makes us human isn’t lost in the process, it’s what gives the process value.
We don’t create to be perfect.
We create to feel.
To break rules, remix tools, and leave fingerprints, even on machine-made images.
Trashyperocool isn’t afraid of the future.
